365: Week Eight

a food related photo everyday until 2013.

fifty: toasted english muffin with marscapone cheese, sliced apple and a cinnamon/sugar dusting. this was my go-to snack of the week.

fifty-one: president's day breakfast at eggstc. i brought my big camera here and was super nervous about taking pictures.

fifty-two: last frozen yogurt for 40 days. there were definitely bikes involved in getting here. i discovered i'm that person that says "oomph!" at every bump in the road. it's awkward.

fifty-three: weeknight pizza gets topped with good olive oil, ricotta cheese and veggies. it's mostly like this...minus the sausage.

fifty-four: more apples. this guy was peeled and diced and baked into oatmeal. there was peanut butter involved...just because. recipe soon!

fifty-five: if you're thinking i ate too many english muffins and apples this week...you just might be onto something. there's avocado, a serious amount of cheese and egg on this breakfast sandwich.

fifty-six: this moment felt like summer. i was wearing shorts, the dog was watching the sunny day unfold in the window...and that martini glass was filled with a granita exactly two seconds ago. i can't wait to tell you about granitas! i.am.obsessed.

ps: i think my coffee drinking habit grew exponentially this week. i dunno. it just happened. there was also a sunburn in this week. and! a lost, collarless pup followed hunter and i on our entire morning walk. this week was slightly bonkers. i can't wait to tell you more!

  2. I have the same martini glass! Looking forward to that granita recipe! Sounds delicious...AND it also sounds like a good distraction from the winter weather outside. If it can't be warm, at least we can pretend it's warm, right? ;)

  5. I'm always nervous breaking out a big camera in restaurants! Which is why I've only done it once. And my boyfriend thought I was nuts.

  6. Fun! I love that you rode your bikes to get Fro-yo! My husband and I did that a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun! I swear the frozen yogurt tastes even better after you've ridden there :)

And holy cow I love granitas too! I started to get into them last summer...and I have the feeling I will be slightly obsessed this year ;)

  12. I've never eaten an apple with mascarpone, but I've been known to heat chopped apple in the microwave and then stir it together with a bit of ricotta. We went for Froyoz on Sunday night. Oh, summer can't get here soon enough, can it?!
